TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 1221 6-20-95 = NETWORK ADAPTERS WITH BOOTROM ON BRAVO MS PROBLEM The BootROM uses a portion of conventional memory to execute its initialization code overwriting the MCB (Memory Control Blocks). This causes POST errors and the system to lock up. CAUSE The new version of Plug-n-Play BIOS uses more space and increases the probability of a collision. To obtain the current system BIOS, contact an AST Authorized Service Center, or download file 05541310.EXE from AST's BBS (817) 230-6850, in the "Systems" file area.
