MUSTEK CG-6000 HAND SCANNER AND ASCENTIA 800N SYSTEMS


PROBLEM

When attached to the parallel port of the Ascentia 800N, the Mustek CG-6000 
hand scanner will not scan, even after an apparently successful installation 
of the scanner software.


CAUSE

The Mustek CG-6000 hand scanner is not compatible with the Cirrus Logic 
chipset used to drive the parallel port of the Ascentia 800N system.

SOLUTION

The customer should find a different solution to his PC scanner needs.
