ATTACHMATE EXTRA! SOFTWARE AND 3270 WITH ASCENTIA 910N


PROBLEM

The IBM PCMCIA 3270 adapter is unable to connect to the host computer using 
Attachmate EXTRA! software with an Ascentia 9XXN system.  Older versions of 
the system did not offer PCMCIA support.


CAUSE

Older versions of the Attachmate EXTRA! software are not compatible with 
the Ascentia 9XXN PCMCIA technology.

All Ascentia 9XXN systems.

SOLUTION

Obtain the patch EXPU41.EXE from Attachmate's Forum on CompuServe. 
The path is as follows:

Type "Go Attachmate".  
Select Extra for Windows
Select Extra for Windows 4.1 (12/33/94 or later)
Select Product Update
Select file EXPU41.EXE

After downloading the file, follow the directions in the README file.
This patch is compatible with newer PCMCIA configurations.
