ASCENTIA 950N SERIAL PORT


PROBLEM:

The Serial Port is disabled in System Setup.

CAUSE:

The serial port has a default setting of Disabled in the System Setup 
program.  Also, when the computer is attached to an optional docking 
station or a port replicator, the serial and infrared ports on the computer 
are automatically disabled.  See the “Configuring the Computer Hardware” 
section of the User’s Manual for further information.

SOLUTION:

Go into System Setup and enable the Serial Port.
