Bravo MS Memory and Windows 95


PROBLEM

After choosing Windows 95 installation, the Bravo MS P/75, P/100, and P/133 
systems may show 2MB less memory (14 MB) than the actual memory available 
(16 MB).  


CAUSE

The Smartdrive file loaded in CONFIG.SYS takes up 2 MB of RAM.


SOLUTION

Remark out the Smartdrive file in CONFIG.SYS as follows:  

     REM SMARTDRIVE.EXE

Reboot the system.  The correct amount of memory will now appear.  
However, the user may experience a slower bootup process.
