                Premmia GX and Windows NT Error Message at Boot Up


PROBLEM/CAUSE

When booting the Premmia GX system up to Windows NT, a dialogue box 
window may appear after the NT login prompt, with the following message:

       "Service Control Manager"

       "At least one service or driver failed during system startup.  
        Use the Event Viewer to examine the event log for details."

This issue is caused by the system BIOS defaults.  The BIOS default for the 
onboard Ethernet port is set to DISABLED; NT is trying to initialize this 
port.


SOLUTION

Configure the system with either the on-board AMD Ethernet port, or an 
add-in NIC (Network Interface Card), to be used by the installed network 
operating system.  The Service Control Manager pop-up window will no 
longer be displayed.
