		     Latin America Keyboards Not Recognized


PROBLEM

The keyboards on Latin America configured systems may not be recognized.


CAUSE

The KEYB.COM command may be misplaced in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.


SOLUTION

Verify that the following line 

     KEYB LA,,C:\DOS\KEYBOARD.SYS

appears in the AUTOEXEC.BAT immediately above C:\WINDOWS\WIN.

Example:

     MODE CON CODEPAGE PREPARE=((850) C:\DOS\EGA.CPI)
     MODE CON CODEPAGE SELECT=850
     KEYB LA,,C:\DOS\KEYBOARD.SYS
     C:\WINDOWS\WIN


SYSTEMS AFFECTED

All Latin America systems with Windows for Workgroups 3.11 could possibly be 
affected.
