                  Premmia GX Warp Connect Install Problem


PROBLEM

The Premmia GX system may hang on disk #1 during the installation of OS/2 
Warp Connect v3.0.


CAUSE

OS/2 Warp Connect uses the Read-ahead mode on systems that integrate the 
CMD646x PCI IDE chipset on the Riser card.


SOLUTION

Disable the Read-ahead mode using file PJ19409.ZIP.  Download file 
PJ19409.ZIP from IBM's BBS (919) 517-0001, "Corrective Service 
Software" file area, and follow the README instructions.
