                     Ascentia 910N and Toshiba CD-ROM Drive


PROBLEM

The Ascentia 910N notebook computer does not recognize the Toshiba XM-5302B 
quad speed CD-ROM (p/n 501802-001), which is part of the AST ProStation 
MultiMedia Docking Station solution.  


CAUSE

CD-ROM driver below version 2.0.


SOLUTION

Download the latest CD-ROM driver (version 2.0 or greater) from the AST 
BBS.  This driver replaces the 1.00 version.

File <A HREF="ftp://ftp.ast.com/P-OTHER/807032.EXE">807032.EXE</A> can be found on AST's BBS (817) 230-6850.  AST's BBS 
supports modem speeds up to 28.8k bps.  The above file will also be posted
