        ASTDU fails to make the fifth disk for French Microsoft Works


PROBLEM

When using ASTDU to create the backup disk set for the French version of 
Microsoft Works, ASTDU fails to make the fifth disk.  No error message is 
displayed, and it appears to the user that the process terminates properly after 
finishing the fourth disk.


SOLUTION

Download the FCWORKS.AST file from AST's BBS (817) 230-6850 and 
copy it into the C:\ASTDU directory of your hard drive.  
When prompted that this file already exists, choose to overwrite the file.

Once you have replaced this file, you may run the ASTDU utility and create 
your backup disk set normally.


SYSTEMS AFFECTED

Any AST system that has been pre-loaded with French Microsoft Works 
version 3.0.
