	 Manhattan P Percepta May Be Unable to Load Windows NT 3.51


PROBLEM

The Percepta Host Agent for the DPT 3224 disk array may not load on the 
Windows NT 3.51 server, without the correct DPT software, and the Percepta 
1.21 Host Agents.


CAUSE

The Percepta 1.21 Host Agent unloads because it has detected incorrect 
revisions of the DPT 3224 firmware and the DPT Storage Manager utilities.  
The previous versions of the Percepta Host Agents prior to version 1.21 did 
not contain the DPT Host Agent for Windows NT.


SOLUTION

The three conditions below must be met in order for the system to operate 
properly:

1. Replace the DPT controller board with AST p/n 234067-003, 
   revision 7CH.
2. Upgrade to the new Percepta Host Agents, revision 1.21 
   (AST p/n 911580-036) or higher.
3. Upgrade the DPT PM3224 PCI Storage Manager Utilities to revision 1.02 
   (AST p/n 911709-036,-037,-038,-039 ) or higher.
