		Bravo MS CD-ROM File Copy Errors under Windows 95


PROBLEM

When installing or running applications from CD-ROM, the Bravo MS system may 
give bad file copies or other run time errors.


CAUSE

When the Dual Boot installation is installed as Windows 95, the installation 
detects the CD-ROM as single speed, instead of quad speed in an 8 MB 
system.  The small amount of cache allocated, along with the single speed 
CD-ROM access pattern of Windows 95, give file errors.

SOLUTION

1. In Windows 95, open the Control Panel and double-click the system icon. 

2. From the 'System Properties' screen, choose the 'Performance' tab. 

3. On the Performance screen of System Properties, click on the 
   'File System' button. 

4. On the 'File System Properties' screen, choose the 'CD-ROM' tab. 

5. Set the 'Supplemental cache size' to the middle or higher, and set the 
   'Optimize access pattern for' to 'Quad speed or higher'. 

6. Select the 'OK' button, then select the 'Close' button. 

Windows 95 will give you the option to restart Windows.  Choose restart.
