		     Ascentia J Midi File and Standby/Suspend Mode


PROBLEM

While playing the midi file in Windows, the Ascentia J system may enter the 
standby and suspend modes.


CAUSE

Since midi play back is a "program I/O" type, neither an interrupt nor a 
Direct Memory Access (DMA) is generated.  The system chipset does not detect 
any activity and will go into suspend.


SOLUTION

There is no work around available.  The user can continue playback after 
resume from suspend or standby.  If standby or suspend is not desired when 
playing midi, please disable related time-out in the Power Manager.
