TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 1454 03/25/97 TITLE: Ascentia J & Advanced Power Management ISSUE When the user disables Advanced Power Management (APM) in Windows, or there is no DOS APM driver loaded, after coming out of suspend, the time may not be correct in the Ascentia J system. This issue affects all Ascentia J systems. BACKGROUND As is the nature of APM-compatible BIOS, the system time is restored by the APM operating system (OS). ACTION To resolve the issue, enable APM in Windows 3.x and install the DOS APM driver. To enable APM in Windows 3.x, follow the steps below: 1. Exit Windows. 2. Change to the Windows directory (C:\Windows). 3. Type Setup and press the key. 4. Change computer from MS-DOS system to MS-DOS system with APM.
