		 Bravo MS P/90 Unable to Install Unixware 2.01


PROBLEM

While installing Unixware 2.01 on the Bravo MS P/90, in the initial stage 
the system reports the following:

		     " Machine Exception error,......... ".


CAUSE

On some computers whose secondary cache and/or memory does not support parity 
checking, the system panics with a Machine Check Exception error just after 
the initial red logo screen disappears.


SOLUTION

The solution is to apply the two patches below to the Unixware 2.01 operating 
system.  

Download patches TF2069AS.EXE and TF2069ST.EXE from Novell's FTP site 
(ftp://ftp.novell.com/pub/unixware/unwr201/) or world wide web site 
(www.novell.com).  Also download file TF2069 (http://netwire.novell.com) 
which includes the installation fixes instructions.  

Please follow the instructions to install and apply the patches.

File TF2069AS.EXE is the DOS self extracting alternate for application 
server boot diskette.

File TF2069ST.EXE is the DOS self extracting patch diskette.
