    Ascentia 950N Hard Drive Spins Down After Brief Moments of Inactivity


PROBLEM

The hard drive in the Ascentia 950N may spin down after brief moments of 
inactivity (three to five seconds) when not in turbo mode.  


CAUSE

System BIOS version 3.01 and below can cause this problem.


SOLUTION

Update the Ascentia 950N BIOS to version 3.02 (p/n 905568-033).
