	  Ascentia 950N DCA ISA 3270 Emulation Card in the ProStation


PROBLEM

An Ascentia 950N system docked to a ProStation may not recognize a DCA Irma 3 
Convertible 3270 emulation card installed in the ProStation.


CAUSE

The IRMA 3 configuration utility can not find available resources for 
the card.


SOLUTION

1. Change the audio port address to 240h in system Setup. 

2. Turn the system OFF and then ON.

3. Obtain version 2.3.1 of the configuration utility, file name IRMA3T.EXE, 
   from Attachmate at one of the following:

	  http://supportweb.attachmate.com/
	  gopher://gopher.attachmate.com:70//11%5CHardware
	  ftp.attachmate.com
	  BBS number - (206) 649-6660

     a. Run I3PLCFG.EXE to start the configuration utility.
     b. Select Emulator Address: 280-29f.
     c. Choose appropriate personality.
     d. Under "Install Options" choose "Dual Port Memory D400", and enable 
	220h address.
     e. Select "exit".  When prompted, save the configuration and download 
	microcode to the IRMA3 card.

All Ascentia 950N Systems and all Prostation systems.
