TITLE: Barr Adapter Fails SNA Diags, WinNT


SUMMARY

   The Barr Channel adapter may fail self-test diagnostics for SNA 
   application under Windows NT 3.51 in a Manhattan P and V system.

   This issue applies to the following systems: 501501, 501502, 501503,
   and 501830.


ISSUE

   When running the Barr Channel self-test under SNA application, 
   the loopback test may fail with a Direct Memory Access (DMA) ERROR.
   After clicking the icon for Barr Channel Adapter diagnostics, 
   the following response is visible on the screen:

     Self-test started
     Loopback Failed - DMA ERROR
     Self-test Failed

                Adapter serial number   200075.2
                Firmware Version        0000-03.01
                Diagnostics Version     0000-00.00
