TITLE: IBM 3278/3279 Emulation PCB, Bravo MSP75
 
 
SUMMARY 
 
   An emulation session may abort intermittently when using an 
   IBM 3278/3279 emulation board in a Bravo MS P75 system.

   This issue applies to the following system:  501772.


ISSUE 
 
   The emulation session aborts because the "RESETDRV" signal generated
   by the computer is too short.  The system displays the following
   error message when this condition occurs:

     "Could not establish session connection.  Please check
     the configuration for this session or contact your Systems
     Administrator".

   The Error Message log contains the following error description:

     <Date>   <Time>  The coax adapter is not installed.
     <Date>   <Time>  No connection on Coax DFT=0X1.
     <Date>   <Time>  Could not open session.


BACKGROUND 

   N/A


ACTION 

   Replace the riser card, AST part number 202755-001.  

   The riser card needs to be at revision level C or higher to 
   correct the error condition. 


NOTES 
 
   The error condition exists regardless of the operating system that
   is used.  Also, the diagnostics that IBM provides for the emulation
   adapter intermittently fail to execute.
