TITLE: WFW Slow Performance with NETX


SUMMARY

   A system may experience slow performance using Novell
   Netware client software in the Windows For Workgroups (WFW)
   version 3.11 environment.

   This issue affects all computer systems regardless of manufacturer.


ISSUE

   When the Novell Netware client software is installed with WFW
   version 3.11, WFW and other Windows-based applications load and
   perform slowly.


BACKGROUND

   The NETWARE.DRV file used is designed for use with Virtual 
   Loadable Module (VLM) client instead of NETX.


ACTION

   Download and install the latest NETX client software from Novell,
   version 3.32a or later.  The installation will replace NETWARE.DRV
   with the correct version and resolve the issue.
