TITLE: Manhattan P/V, Adv Diags, 256MB of RAM
 
 
SUMMARY 
 
   Advanced Diagnostics will not run on the Manhattan P/V systems with
   256MB of memory installed.
 
    This issue applies to all Manhattan P and V systems.


ISSUE 
 
   When running Advanced Diagnostics v2.23 on the Manhattan P/V systems
   with 256MB of memory installed, the following message appears:

      Advanced Diagnostics System Configuration
         Internal error:  Unit out of valid range:
         Component:       0xDrams
         Board:           0xMemory Subsystem
         Unit No:         255

      Valid unit numbers are 254 >=Unit No >= 0.
      Please contact your Technical Support group for further assistance.

   N/A
 
 
ACTION 

   The Advanced Diagnostics program, version 2.23, will work with less 
   than 256MB of RAM.  Testing a portion of the memory or using a 
   third-party diagnostic program as an alternative will resolve the
   issue.


NOTES

   AST will not update the Advanced Diagnostics program, version 2.23,
   to resolve this issue.
