This issue affects the following systems: 501772, 501773, 501774, 501775, 501776,501777, 501778, 501784, 501814, 501815, 501816, 501860, 501861, 501916, 501926, and 501950. See Software Bulletin # 0326. This issue also affects the following systems: 501749 and 501841. See Software Bulletin # 0327. ISSUE When the user updates the system BIOS from version 1.04 to version 1.05, or when starting the computer, the system may report the following error message: "16.82 Personality Identification Data has been lost. Contact AST Technical support" Press F1 to continue. BACKGROUND The PID (Personal Identification) was lost or corrupted during the situations stated above. In BIOS version 1.05, the PID was not "hardwired" into the BIOS. ACTION Update the system BIOS to version 1.07 (AST part number 905591-032) or later.
