TITLE:  Advantage! 7000/9000 and Modem
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   If the Intel Taladdin Data/FAX/DSVD modem is removed from Device 
   Manager and redetected, Windows 95 will detect a PCI card and 
   prompt the user for modem drivers. These drivers are not included 
   with the hard disk image and are not available from system 
   backup.
   
   This issue applies to the following systems: 503086 and 503116.    

 
BACKGROUND

ACTION 
 
   Once this error message appears on the screen, select not to 
   install drivers and the modem will proceed with proper 
   installation.  The modem will then function.    

 
NOTES 
 
   Windows 95 is actually trying to install drivers for the PCI 
   board and not the modem. Once the user selects not to install 
   drivers, the board is bypassed and Windows 95 installs the 
   correct drivers for the modem.  This issue is only present with 
   the Intel Taladdin modem.
