TITLE:  Ascentia J SmartSleep and WFW 3.11
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   When the Ascentia J system’s power management is set for Max. 
   Power Saving Mode in System Setup, the unit may appear to lock up 
   when the unit returns from SmartSleep. The screen will display 
   correctly but there may be no response from either the trackstick 
   or the keyboard.  Resetting the machine will restore normal 
   operation.
   
   This issue applies to all Ascentia J10, Ascentia J30, and 
   Ascentia J50 mobile systems.

ACTION 
 
   Update the system BIOS to version 3.11 (part number 905599-031) 
   or later.  This BIOS is available under file name <A HREF="ftp://ftp.ast.com/P-BIOS/05599031.EXE">05599031.EXE</A> 
   through any of AST’s On-Line! services.
