TITLE:  Ascentia P and Other Devices
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   After installing Windows 95, the user may find that the PCI 
   bridge appears as an Other device in the Device Manager in 
   Windows 95. 
   
   This issue affects the following systems: 501996 and 501997.    

 
BACKGROUND 
 
   This is an issue with the Intel Mobile Triton chipset.  The 
   system is operating as designed. Windows 95 does not contain a 
   specific driver for this PCI to PCI bridge. The standard driver 
   will function in this case without any problems.    

 
ACTION 
 
   1. Remove the question mark by selecting the PCI Bridge
      entry from
   
      /Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Other devices
      /PCI Bridge
   
   2. Select the Drivers tab and Change Drivers icon. 
   
   3. Select System Devices and Standard PCI to PCI bridge. 
   
   This will install drivers that allow the PCI bridge to appear 
   under System Devices and will remove the Other device entry.
