TITLE:  Ascentia P and Secondary Battery
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   Charging problems may occur in the Ascentia P if the user 
   installs or removes the primary or secondary battery while the 
   system power is ON.
   
   This issue affects the following systems: 503039 and 503041.    

 
BACKGROUND 
 
   N/A    

 
ACTION 
 
   To properly charge the installed batteries, observe the following 
   procedure: 
   
   1. Power down the system.
   
   2. Remove all batteries.
   
   3. Install the primary battery followed by the secondary
      battery (if present). 
   
   Any other sequence may result in charging problems with either 
   battery (i.e. not charging completely, or at all).
