TITLE:  NT4.0 SP2 Incompatible w/LANDesk 2.51b
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   The Windows NT 4.0 Server Service Pack 2 is incompatible with 
   LANDesk 2.51b.
   
   The "NT Performance Monitor" sub-tree under LANDesk does not 
   expand when NT 4.0 is updated to Service Pack 2. 
   
   This issue affects only systems installed with LANDesk 2.51b.    

 
BACKGROUND 
 
   Normally with Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed, the user launches 
   the LANDesk console, selects Microsoft Windows Network, selects 
   the Windows NT 4.0 Server, and logs in. The user will see a tree 
   structure for the Server on the screen.  When the user 
   double-clicks on "NT Performance Monitor", a sub-tree is 
   displayed which allows the user to select:  System, Processor, 
   Memory, Cache, etc. 
   
   With SP2 installed, the sub-tree under "NT Performance Monitor" 
   does not expand! Thus, the user cannot monitor: System, 
   Processor, Memory, Cache, etc.    

 
ACTION 
 
   Do not update Windows NT 4.0 to Service Pack 2 (SP2) when running 
   LANDesk version 2.51b.
