TITLE:  Ascentia P, Win 3.1x, Lotus ScreenCam
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   When using Lotus ScreenCam for Windows 3.1x on an Ascentia P 
   system, the audio may continue after the user presses the pause 
   button.
   
   This issue affects the following Ascentia P systems: 501996, 
   501997, 503039, and 503041.    

 
BACKGROUND 
 
   When playing a Lotus ScreenCam file for Windows 3.1x, the user 
   may pause and restart the file with the control panel that the 
   system displays on the screen. When the user presses the pause 
   button, the video portion of the file will pause correctly, but 
   the audio may continue.
   
   The systems listed above use a Vibra16 audio controller, which is 
   100% Sound Blaster 16-compatible.    

 
ACTION 
 
   To resolve the issue perform the steps listed below:
   
   1. Download file SBBASIC.EXE, from the Creative Labs Web 
      site at the following address:
   
       http://www.creaf.com/wwwnew/tech/ftp/ftp-sb16awe.html 
   
      or call the Creative Labs BBS at (405) 742-6660. 
   
      This file contains the latest Sound Blaster 16 drivers 
      from Creative Labs.

   
   2. Run file SBBASIC.EXE in an empty directory to extract 
      the files included.
   
      Follow the installation instructions contained in the
      README.TXT file.

      
      NOTE: During the installation, the drivers will 
            default to the c:\sb16 directory. Install the 
            files in the following area instead:
   
               C:\VIBRA16    

 
NOTES 
 
   If you experience difficulty installing the drivers, please refer 
   to Technical Bulletin 1648TB.TXT.
