TITLE:  Ascentia P User Password, Win95, Floppy
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   If you add an administrator and user password, and log in with 
   the USER password, Windows 95 reports that the floppy drive is a 
   5.25". As a consequence, the floppy drive will not work.
   
   This issue affects all Ascentia P systems.    

 
BACKGROUND 
 
   The BIOS switches the floppy drive information to 5.25" in order 
   to prevent the user from accessing the drive. This is a security 
   feature.    

 
ACTION 
 
   The computer is operating as designed. If you want the 3.5" 
   floppy drive to work at the user level, set the Floppy Access in 
   the Security menu of the BIOS to USER.
