TITLE:  Ascentia P External Numeric Keypad
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   The NumLock function on the Ascentia P will not operate 
   independent of the internal keyboard, when an external numeric 
   keypad or keyboard is attached to the system.
   
   This issue applies to the following systems: 501996, 501997, 
   503039, 503040, and 503041.

   The solution is as follows:
   
   Upgrade the BIOS to v1.03 (AST part number 905584-035) or higher 
   for the following systems:
   
      501996
      501997
      
   Upgrade the BIOS to v2.03 (AST part number 905595-033) or higher 
   for the following systems:
   
      503039
      503040
      503041
