TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 1756 09/09/97 TITLE: Bravo Lockups and Intel Pro 100B ISSUE When using the NDIS driver, version 2.22, on a Bravo MS or MS-T system, the unit may lockup or a General Protection Fault Error (GPF) may occur during the Windows 95 shutdown process, or during a system warm boot. These intermittent errors may generally be seen after shutting down or warm-booting the system five to six times. This issue may affect the following systems: 503246, 503247, 503250, 503251, 503320, 503321, 503322, 503323, 503417, and 503418 or any system utilizing an Intel Pro 100B network card. BACKGROUND N/A ACTION Upgrade the Windows 95 Intel Pro 100B drivers to version 2.51 or higher. Obtain file 100BDISK.EXE from Intel's web page at www.intel.com. For installation instructions, run Setup/README from the command prompt on the Intel Pro 100B driver diskette. NOTES To verify the NDIS driver version, run the Intel Proset utility that is included on the driver diskette.
