TITLE:  Ascentia M, DOS, No Sound
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   After running the installation program to set up the Crystal 
   Audio drivers on the Ascentia M under DOS, the user hears no 
   sound.
   
   This issue affects all Ascentia M systems.    

 
BACKGROUND

ACTION 
 
   To enable the sound under DOS, after installing the Crystal Audio 
   drivers on the Ascentia M, add a /O (not a zero) switch to the 
   DEVICE= statement in CONFIG.SYS. 
   
   Using a text editor, edit the line to read as follows:
   
       DEVICE=C:\CRYSTAL\CS4232C.EXE /O
