------------------------------------------- Persyst - Time Spectrum 384L ------------------------------------------- When investigating a RAM chip failure on my Time Spectrum 384L, I discovered that the printed circuit board (PCB) is mislabeled. Down the extreme left side of the card is printed 'P', '7', '6', '5', '4', '3', '2', '1', '0'. They are meant to show which RAM rows correspond to bits PARITY, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. I had a RAM failure on my Time Spectrum 384L, and when I got CheckIt software to test the RAM, Checkit indicated bit 1 at address 70000 hex. From address 70000 and the particular configuration of my card, I established that the problem was in bank 3. But in bank 3, when I then replaced the chip in row '1', the problem remained. Via trial-and-error, I discovered that the faulty chip was in the row labeled as '6'. That means that the 'P', '7', '6', '5', '4', '3', '2', '1', '0' printed on the PCB are incorrect.
