In your search for a replacement part for your early Toshiba laptop, the use of a Toshiba part number may help.

3. A comprehensive part list (including exploded view diagram) for various Toshiba laptops can be found on the Atlas CD-ROM's.
Specifically, you run the Atlas program that you have installed from the CD (to Windows XP), then navigate to the model, then choose the 'Parts Catalog' document.
